Plant dyed silk in Eldon Garden, Newcastle.

Plant dyed silk in Eldon Garden, Newcastle.

At these events I sometimes demonstrate peg loom or Brinkley loom weaving.  Please let me know if you would like me to bring my looms so that I can make space in the van for them!

Come and see me for plant dyed fleece to use in your projects including hooky and proggy, felt making, weaving etc and gift vouchers for workshops.  I usually have silk eco printed scarves & fabric, natural dye kits, hand made paper, dye plants, and wall hangings made from plant dyed fleece and driftwood.  I may have woven bags,  plant dyed yarn & Shibori cushions too.  Please see links above for more details on availability of some of these items or just contact me.

On the dates below you will find me at the following events:

April 8th  St Abbs at Eyemouth Woolfest 10am -4pm.  Come and see all the things I have been making through the winter including hand made paper, plant dyed fleece, dye plants, natural dye kits and my plant dyed and eco printed silk scarves.  Hopefully I will finally have plant dyed yarn, carded merino batts and indigo Shibori patterned fabric pieces for all you keen stitchers out there to get embellishing.

I will also be running a mini peg loom workshop at the event, so if you’re one of the many people who speak to me saying you have been given a loom but you’re not too sure how to use it, come and find out in the afternoon, making a wall hanging with natural coloured fleece and bright splashes of plant dyed colours!  Places are limited and need to be booked in advance.

April 22nd   Northumbrian Gathering.  I’m very pleased to have the chance to be here again in the Town Hall.  I’ll be easy to spot near the entrance so come and find me for a chat.  I will be bringing plant dyed and printed textiles and maybe some hand made paper too.
